Investing.com – Sri Lanka equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Trading, Footwear & Textile and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share fell 0.05%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the CSE All-Share were PC Pharma PLC (CM:PCPH), which rose 100.00% or 0.1000 points to trade at 0.2000 at the close. Blue Diamonds Jewellery Worldwide PLC (CM:BLUE) added 22.22% or 0.200 points to end at 1.100 and Selinsing PLC (CM:SELI) was up 21.45% or 131.60 points to 745.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Kelani Valley Plantations PLC (CM:KVAL), which lost 13.29% or 11.10 points to trade at 72.40 in late trade. Tess Agro PLC (CM:TESS) declined 10.00% or 0.100 points to end at 0.900 and Regnis Lanka PLC (CM:REG) shed 9.34% or 10.30 points to 100.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 112 to 75 and 51 ended unchanged on the Colombo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was down 0.50% or 0.31 to $61.73 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 0.61% or 0.40 to hit $65.09 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.53% or 7.00 to trade at $1317.00 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was up 0.05% to 215.655, while USD/LKR rose 0.10% to 155.640.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.04% at 90.07.
