Investing.com – Sri Lanka equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Trading, Information Technology and Construction & Engineering sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share added 0.05%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the CSE All-Share were PC Pharma PLC (CM:PCPH), which rose 100.00% or 0.1000 points to trade at 0.2000 at the close. Adam Investments Ltd (CM:ADAM) added 25.00% or 0.100 points to end at 0.500 and SMB Leasing PLC (CM:SEMB) was up 14.29% or 0.1000 points to 0.8000 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Amana Takaful Life Ltd (CM:ANTK), which lost 13.33% or 0.20 points to trade at 1.30 in late trade. Indo Malay PLC (CM:INDO) declined 12.56% or 179.60 points to end at 1250.00 and Amana Takaful PLC (CM:ATL) shed 11.11% or 0.100 points to 0.800.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 95 to 68 and 49 ended unchanged on the Colombo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 1.04% or 0.50 to $47.37 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.08% or 0.04 to hit $52.02 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.35% or 4.59 to trade at $1302.49 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was up 0.14% to 197.265, while USD/LKR fell 0.07% to 152.900.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.13% at 92.35.
