Investing.com – Sri Lanka equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Services, Diversified Holdings and Motors sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share rose 0.04%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the CSE All-Share were Adam Investments Ltd (CM:ADAM), which rose 50.00% or 0.100 points to trade at 0.300 at the close. Royal Palms Beach Hotels PLC (CM:RPBH) added 19.14% or 3.10 points to end at 19.30 and PCH Holdings PLC (CM:PCHH) was up 16.67% or 0.100 points to 0.700 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nuwara Eliya Hotels Co PLC (CM:NEH), which lost 17.74% or 238.90 points to trade at 1107.90 in late trade. Lucky Lanka Milk Processing Company Ltd (CM:LLMP) declined 12.50% or 0.200 points to end at 1.400 and Muller & Phipps PLC (CM:MULL) shed 11.11% or 0.100 points to 0.800.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 90 to 67 and 53 ended unchanged on the Colombo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.52% or 0.35 to $66.69 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.36% or 0.28 to hit $77.84 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.14% or 1.80 to trade at $1298.30 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was up 0.46% to 211.290, while USD/LKR rose 0.22% to 158.610.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 93.88.
