Investing.com – Spain equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Financial Services & Real Estate, Building & Construction and Telecoms & IT sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 declined 0.70%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Laboratorios Farmaceuticos ROVI (BME:ROVI), which rose 1.18% or 0.90 points to trade at 77.00 at the close. Repsol (BME:REP) added 0.85% or 0.10 points to end at 11.82 and Industria de Diseno Textil SA (BME:ITX) was up 0.34% or 0.18 points to 53.88 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Sacyr SA (BME:SCYR), which lost 5.24% or 0.17 points to trade at 3.11 in late trade. SOLARIA ENERGIA Y MEDIO AMBIENTE (BME:SLRS) declined 3.23% or 0.35 points to end at 10.50 and Inmobiliaria Colonial SA (BME:COL) shed 2.56% or 0.16 points to 5.89.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 130 to 64 and 24 ended unchanged on the Madrid Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.20% or 5.35 to $2,735.35 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 1.83% or 1.26 to hit $69.95 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 1.52% or 1.11 to trade at $74.17 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.41% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.11% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.43% at 103.75.
