Investing.com – Spain equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Financial Services & Real Estate and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 lost 0.06%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Inmobiliaria Colonial SA (BME:COL), which rose 2.91% or 0.17 points to trade at 5.84 at the close. Telefonica (BME:TEF) added 1.51% or 0.06 points to end at 4.16 and Acciona (BME:ANA) was up 1.39% or 1.70 points to 124.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Fluidra (BME:FLUI), which lost 1.79% or 0.40 points to trade at 21.98 in late trade. Industria de Diseno Textil SA (BME:ITX) declined 0.65% or 0.32 points to end at 48.66 and Laboratorios Farmaceuticos ROVI (BME:ROVI) shed 0.57% or 0.45 points to 79.10.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 101 to 79 and 36 ended unchanged on the Madrid Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.23% or 5.90 to $2,533.50 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.95% or 0.70 to hit $74.25 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.75% or 0.58 to trade at $77.51 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.18% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.08% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 101.62.
