Investing.com – Spain equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Telecoms & IT and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 added 0.45%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Cellnex Telecom SA (MC:CLNX), which rose 2.28% or 0.50 points to trade at 22.46 at the close. Grifols SA (MC:GRLS) added 2.10% or 0.540 points to end at 26.260 and Indra A (MC:IDR) was up 1.45% or 0.170 points to 11.860 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Tecnicas Reunidas (MC:TRE), which lost 1.71% or 0.460 points to trade at 26.500 in late trade. Bankia SA (MC:BKIA) declined 1.45% or 0.061 points to end at 4.140 and Repsol (MC:REP) shed 1.08% or 0.170 points to 15.580.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 98 to 73 and 21 ended unchanged on the Madrid Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.54% or 7.20 to $1334.40 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 1.00% or 0.64 to hit $63.31 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract fell 1.01% or 0.70 to trade at $68.61 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.00% to 1.2238, while EUR/GBP rose 0.23% to 0.8825.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 90.34.
