Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Media & Publishing, Insurance and Transport sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share added 0.45%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Kingdom Holding Company (TADAWUL:4280), which rose 10.00% or 0.77 points to trade at 8.47 at the close. Middle East Healthcare Co CJSC (TADAWUL:4009) added 9.97% or 6.40 points to end at 70.60 and CHUBB Arabia Cooperative Insurance (TADAWUL:8240) was up 9.93% or 2.95 points to 32.65 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Al Maather REIT (TADAWUL:4334), which lost 3.51% or 0.32 points to trade at 8.79 in late trade. The National Shipping Co. (TADAWUL:4030) declined 1.51% or 0.45 points to end at 29.30 and Rabigh Refining & Petrochemical Co (TADAWUL:2380) shed 1.50% or 0.12 points to 7.88.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 220 to 75 and 18 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.34% or 0.27 to $78.62 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.37% or 0.30 to hit $80.99 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.08% or 2.00 to trade at $2,509.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.17% to 4.14, while USD/SAR unchanged 0.01% to 3.75.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 102.36.
