Investing.com – Russia equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Power, Oil & Gas and Manufacturing sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Moscow, the MICEX fell 0.39%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the MICEX were NLMK ao (MCX:NLMK), which rose 2.51% or 3.28 points to trade at 134.03 at the close. NK RussNeft PAO (MCX:RNFT) added 1.50% or 8.3 points to end at 560.3 and Rostelecom (MCX:RTKM) was up 1.38% or 0.92 points to 67.67 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Magnit (MCX:MGNT), which lost 3.85% or 329.0 points to trade at 8221.0 in late trade. DIXY Group ao (MCX:DIXY) declined 2.80% or 8.80 points to end at 305.20 and FSK EES (MCX:FEES) shed 2.77% or 0.0046 points to 0.1614.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 119 to 110 and 19 ended unchanged on the Moscow Stock Exchange.
The Russian VIX, which measures the implied volatility of MICEX options, was up 0.52% to 15.550.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.20% or 2.62 to $1283.12 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.06% or 0.03 to hit $51.87 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.52% or 0.30 to trade at $57.45 a barrel.
USD/RUB was up 0.02% to 57.5050, while EUR/RUB fell 0.21% to 67.5850.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.16% at 93.72.
