Investing.com – Russia equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Power, Telecom and Manufacturing sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Moscow, the RTSI rose 6.05%, while the MICEX index added 1.96%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the RTSI were FSK EES (MCX:FEES), which rose 16.82% or 0.0098 points to trade at 0.0677 at the close. GidroOGK-011D (MCX:HYDR) added 13.28% or 0.0715 points to end at 0.6100 and Rosseti ao (MCX:RSTI) was up 9.38% or 0.0488 points to 0.5690 in late trade.
Biggest losers included PhosAgro ao (MCX:PHOR), which lost 3.87% or 89.0 points to trade at 2209.0 in late trade. RDR United Company RUSAL PLC (MCX:RUALR) declined 3.77% or 19.40 points to end at 495.00 and NMTP (MCX:NMTP) shed 3.03% or 0.0500 points to 1.6000.
The top performers on the MICEX were FSK EES (MCX:FEES) which rose 16.82% to 0.0677, GidroOGK-011D (MCX:HYDR) which was up 13.28% to settle at 0.6100 and Rosseti ao (MCX:RSTI) which gained 9.38% to close at 0.5690.
The worst performers were PhosAgro ao (MCX:PHOR) which was down 3.87% to 2209.0 in late trade, RDR United Company RUSAL PLC (MCX:RUALR) which lost 3.77% to settle at 495.00 and NMTP (MCX:NMTP) which was down 3.03% to 1.6000 at the close.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 113 to 44 and 3 ended unchanged on the Moscow Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for April delivery was up 0.74% or 9.00 to $1229.70 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude Oil for delivery in March rose 3.50% or 1.79 to hit $53.00 a barrel, while the April Brent Oil contract rose 3.55% or 2.10 to trade at $61.38 a barrel.
USD/RUB was down 2.95% to 63.254, while EUR/RUB fell 3.00% to 72.201.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.17% at 94.13.
