Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Consumer Services, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI declined 0.37%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI were EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR), which rose 1.32% or 0.19 points to trade at 14.61 at the close. Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:BCP) unchanged 0.83% or 0.00 points to end at 0.41 and EDP Energias de Portugal SA (ELI:EDP) was up 0.62% or 0.02 points to 3.88 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Galp Energia Nom (ELI:GALP), which lost 2.82% or 0.49 points to trade at 16.70 in late trade. Jeronimo Martins SGPS SA (ELI:JMT) declined 2.12% or 0.37 points to end at 17.08 and Altri SGPS SA (ELI:ALSS) shed 1.33% or 0.07 points to 5.18.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 19 to 9 and 4 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was down 4.41% or 3.57 to $77.36 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 4.47% or 3.45 to hit $73.69 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 1.20% or 32.10 to trade at $2,633.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.02% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.09% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 102.30.
