Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Financials, Technology and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI declined 0.23%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI were Galp Energia Nom (ELI:GALP), which rose 1.51% or 0.25 points to trade at 16.80 at the close. The Navigator Company SA (ELI:NVGR) added 0.99% or 0.04 points to end at 3.69 and CTT Correios de Portugal SA (ELI:CTT) was up 0.23% or 0.01 points to 4.39 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Jeronimo Martins SGPS SA (ELI:JMT), which lost 2.16% or 0.39 points to trade at 17.64 in late trade. Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:MOTA) declined 1.38% or 0.04 points to end at 2.57 and Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:BCP) 0.81% or 0.00 points to 0.41.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 18 to 13 and 4 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was up 1.03% or 0.74 to $72.28 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.04% or 0.71 to hit $68.89 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.45% or 12.10 to trade at $2,656.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.18% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.35% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.28% at 100.39.
