Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Consumer Services, Financials and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI declined 0.19%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI were EDP Energias de Portugal SA (ELI:EDP), which rose 0.93% or 0.03 points to trade at 3.25 at the close. Galp Energia Nom (ELI:GALP) added 0.72% or 0.12 points to end at 16.84 and Ren Redes Energeticas Nacionais SGPS SA (ELI:RENE) was up 0.21% or 0.01 points to 2.37 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Jeronimo Martins SGPS SA (ELI:JMT), which lost 1.18% or 0.22 points to trade at 18.45 in late trade. Corticeira Amorim (ELI:CORA) declined 0.84% or 0.07 points to end at 8.27 and The Navigator Company SA (ELI:NVGR) shed 0.76% or 0.03 points to 3.41.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 15 to 8 and 7 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for February delivery was up 0.61% or 0.44 to $72.58 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.80% or 0.55 to hit $68.92 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 1.18% or 31.59 to trade at $2,717.39 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.37% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.45% to 0.82.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.35% at 106.19.
