Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI declined 0.06%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI were Galp Energia Nom (ELI:GALP), which rose 2.67% or 0.53 points to trade at 20.37 at the close. Nos SGPS SA (ELI:NOS) added 0.74% or 0.03 points to end at 3.40 and Corticeira Amorim (ELI:CORA) was up 0.55% or 0.05 points to 9.11 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:MOTA), which lost 3.27% or 0.12 points to trade at 3.43 in late trade. Greenvolt Energias Renovaveis SA (ELI:GVOLT) declined 2.12% or 0.18 points to end at 8.32 and The Navigator Company SA (ELI:NVGR) shed 1.50% or 0.06 points to 3.81.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 16 to 9 and 4 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for September delivery was down 0.06% or 0.05 to $86.55 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.29% or 0.24 to hit $83.14 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.30% or 7.05 to trade at $2,331.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.05% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.22% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 105.52.
