Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Industrials and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 fell 1.51%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which rose 2.01% or 0.0055 points to trade at 0.2785 at the close. Semapa (LS:SEM) added 1.41% or 0.3000 points to end at 21.5500 and Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) was up 0.90% or 0.0420 points to 4.7000 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP), which lost 2.71% or 0.4650 points to trade at 16.6850 in late trade. Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) declined 2.17% or 0.260 points to end at 11.700 and Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) shed 1.74% or 0.0180 points to 1.0180.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 18 to 11 and 7 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for July delivery was down 0.53% or 0.42 to $79.15 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 0.80% or 0.58 to hit $71.62 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.10% or 1.30 to trade at $1290.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.69% to 1.1699, while EUR/GBP fell 0.01% to 0.8769.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.48% at 93.96.
