Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Telecoms, Technology and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.97%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Novabase SGPS (LS:NBA), which rose 0.41% or 0.013 points to trade at 3.199 at the close. Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) added 0.02% or 0.0010 points to end at 5.5250 and Montepio (LS:MPIO) was unchanged 0.00% or 0.000 points to 1.000 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which lost 7.08% or 0.0230 points to trade at 0.3020 in late trade. Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) declined 2.42% or 0.0590 points to end at 2.3800 and Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) shed 2.08% or 0.2950 points to 13.9150.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 30 to 5 and 4 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for October delivery was down 0.27% or 0.14 to $51.76 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.23% or 0.11 to hit $48.48 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.23% or 2.97 to trade at $1293.07 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.42% to 1.1821, while EUR/GBP rose 0.19% to 0.9089.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.34% at 92.98.
