Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Telecoms, Consumer Goods and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.84%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT), which rose 1.19% or 0.0360 points to trade at 3.0540 at the close. Semapa (LS:SEM) added 0.88% or 0.2000 points to end at 22.8500 and EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR) was up 0.48% or 0.0400 points to 8.3650 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA), which lost 2.84% or 0.320 points to trade at 10.960 in late trade. Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) declined 2.40% or 0.0060 points to end at 0.2440 and Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) shed 2.17% or 0.1040 points to 4.6960.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 22 to 10 and 2 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for September delivery was down 1.59% or 1.20 to $74.12 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.60% or 0.41 to hit $68.17 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.20% or 2.60 to trade at $1268.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.33% to 1.1692, while EUR/GBP rose 0.28% to 0.8813.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.17% at 94.03.
