Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Industrials, Telecoms and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 0.48%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were F.Rama (LS:RAMA), which rose 0.98% or 0.100 points to trade at 10.300 at the close. Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) added 0.74% or 0.080 points to end at 10.900 and J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) was up 0.46% or 0.0600 points to 13.1500 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which lost 2.83% or 0.0060 points to trade at 0.2060 in late trade. Sonae SGPS SA (LS:YSO) declined 2.13% or 0.0205 points to end at 0.9415 and CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT) shed 1.49% or 0.0500 points to 3.3100.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 24 to 13 and 3 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for October delivery was down 0.13% or 0.10 to $74.68 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.25% or 0.17 to hit $67.69 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.72% or 8.70 to trade at $1194.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.32% to 1.1558, while EUR/GBP rose 0.38% to 0.9016.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.46% at 95.44.
