Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Utilities and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 fell 0.40%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT), which rose 1.57% or 0.2450 points to trade at 15.8300 at the close. Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS) added 0.99% or 0.120 points to end at 12.200 and Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) was down 0.03% or 0.0050 points to 15.5550 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which lost 5.12% or 0.0230 points to trade at 0.4260 in late trade. Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) declined 1.35% or 0.0450 points to end at 3.2910 and Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) shed 1.32% or 0.0690 points to 5.1550.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 23 to 9 and 6 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was up 1.36% or 0.78 to $58.15 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.94% or 0.49 to hit $52.39 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.24% or 3.10 to trade at $1277.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.14% to 1.1766, while EUR/GBP rose 0.67% to 0.8962.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 93.80.
