Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Industrials, Telecoms and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 fell 0.27%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS), which rose 1.47% or 0.150 points to trade at 10.350 at the close. Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) added 0.38% or 0.0010 points to end at 0.2621 and Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) was up 0.18% or 0.020 points to 11.160 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which lost 2.50% or 0.0750 points to trade at 2.9250 in late trade. Sonae (LS:YSO) declined 1.74% or 0.0180 points to end at 1.0140 and Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) shed 1.03% or 0.0025 points to 0.2410.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 23 to 7 and 5 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for September delivery was up 0.79% or 0.57 to $72.73 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.25% or 0.17 to hit $67.33 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.09% or 1.10 to trade at $1226.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.03% to 1.1656, while EUR/GBP rose 0.35% to 0.8923.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 94.76.
