Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Telecoms, Industrials and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 0.25%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT), which rose 1.10% or 0.1750 points to trade at 16.0400 at the close. Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) added 0.71% or 0.1100 points to end at 15.6600 and Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS) was up 0.67% or 0.080 points to 11.985 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Sonae (LS:YSO), which lost 2.23% or 0.0260 points to trade at 1.1380 in late trade. Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) declined 1.87% or 0.0050 points to end at 0.2620 and Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) shed 1.82% or 0.0670 points to 3.6180.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 24 to 10 and 3 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for February delivery was up 0.12% or 0.08 to $64.98 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 0.17% or 0.10 to hit $58.26 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.67% or 8.50 to trade at $1279.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.23% to 1.1848, while EUR/GBP fell 0.17% to 0.8855.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 92.95.
