Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Consumer Services, Utilities and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 0.23%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS), which rose 2.65% or 0.315 points to trade at 12.220 at the close. Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) added 2.58% or 0.0080 points to end at 0.3180 and Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) was up 2.17% or 0.0750 points to 3.5250 in late trade.
Biggest losers included J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT), which lost 2.52% or 0.4150 points to trade at 16.0850 in late trade. EDP (LS:EDP) declined 1.09% or 0.0320 points to end at 2.9130 and Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) shed 0.88% or 0.0500 points to 5.6600.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 16 to 15 and 5 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for February delivery was up 1.76% or 1.10 to $63.73 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 1.64% or 0.94 to hit $58.34 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.85% or 10.81 to trade at $1284.01 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.03% to 1.1906, while EUR/GBP rose 0.15% to 0.8813.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.25% at 92.74.
