Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Industrials and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 0.20%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR), which rose 0.68% or 0.0280 points to trade at 4.1500 at the close. EDP (LS:EDP) added 0.61% or 0.0190 points to end at 3.1150 and Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) was up 0.53% or 0.0013 points to 0.2446 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA), which lost 2.04% or 0.200 points to trade at 9.600 in late trade. Ramada Investimentos e Industria SA (LS:RAMA) declined 1.63% or 0.150 points to end at 9.050 and Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) shed 1.45% or 0.0110 points to 0.7500.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 17 to 15 and 4 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for January delivery was down 2.13% or 1.56 to $71.61 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 2.28% or 1.44 to hit $61.66 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.21% or 2.60 to trade at $1227.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.08% to 1.1417, while EUR/GBP fell 0.24% to 0.8726.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 96.12.
