Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Industrials, Consumer Services and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 0.17%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which rose 4.49% or 0.0134 points to trade at 0.3121 at the close. EDP (LS:EDP) added 2.57% or 0.0700 points to end at 2.7890 and Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) was up 0.69% or 0.1000 points to 14.6650 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Sonae (LS:YSO), which lost 4.84% or 0.0580 points to trade at 1.1410 in late trade. Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) declined 3.73% or 0.1860 points to end at 4.8040 and Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) shed 3.46% or 0.1350 points to 3.7650.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 23 to 12 and 4 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for May delivery was up 0.45% or 0.29 to $64.12 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 0.20% or 0.12 to hit $61.11 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 1.19% or 15.50 to trade at $1320.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.35% to 1.2307, while EUR/GBP rose 0.43% to 0.8942.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.21% at 90.03.
