Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Industrials, Financials and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 fell 0.15%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR), which rose 2.08% or 0.1450 points to trade at 7.1100 at the close. Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) added 1.93% or 0.190 points to end at 10.040 and J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) was up 1.26% or 0.2150 points to 17.2750 in late trade.
Biggest losers included CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT), which lost 2.75% or 0.0920 points to trade at 3.2580 in late trade. Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) declined 2.58% or 0.0060 points to end at 0.2270 and Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS) shed 2.42% or 0.1100 points to 4.4400.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 18 to 8 and 3 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for April delivery was up 0.08% or 0.05 to $62.64 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 0.20% or 0.12 to hit $59.17 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.23% or 3.00 to trade at $1329.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.50% to 1.2354, while EUR/GBP rose 0.23% to 0.8903.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.47% at 89.59.
