Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Technology, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.01%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which rose 3.68% or 0.0091 points to trade at 0.2567 at the close. Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) added 2.65% or 0.0044 points to end at 0.1704 and REN (LS:RENE) was up 0.99% or 0.0240 points to 2.4440 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA), which lost 3.23% or 0.320 points to trade at 9.590 in late trade. Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) declined 2.51% or 0.0190 points to end at 0.7390 and EDP (LS:EDP) shed 2.14% or 0.0680 points to 3.1100.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 17 to 16 and 2 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for January delivery was down 0.88% or 0.62 to $70.03 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.07% or 0.65 to hit $60.02 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 1.39% or 17.00 to trade at $1209.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.31% to 1.1329, while EUR/GBP rose 0.33% to 0.8729.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.23% at 96.77.
