Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Consumer Services and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.01%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were F.Rama (LS:RAMA), which rose 3.55% or 0.300 points to trade at 8.750 at the close. Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) added 1.51% or 0.2450 points to end at 16.4550 and EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR) was up 0.84% or 0.0750 points to 8.9900 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which lost 2.24% or 0.0650 points to trade at 2.8350 in late trade. The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR) declined 1.09% or 0.0550 points to end at 5.0000 and Sonae (LS:YSO) shed 0.90% or 0.0090 points to 0.9960.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 23 to 10 and 7 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for September delivery was down 0.06% or 0.05 to $77.25 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.34% or 0.25 to hit $73.69 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 1.00% or 12.40 to trade at $1254.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.08% to 1.1648, while EUR/GBP fell 0.08% to 0.8849.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.19% at 94.42.
