Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms, Industrials and Utilities sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 0.00%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS), which rose 2.85% or 0.240 points to trade at 8.660 at the close. Sonae SGPS SA (LS:YSO) added 2.24% or 0.0185 points to end at 0.8455 and Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) was up 1.07% or 0.100 points to 9.480 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which lost 2.91% or 0.0056 points to trade at 0.1870 in late trade. Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) declined 1.49% or 0.0130 points to end at 0.8620 and CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT) shed 0.97% or 0.0300 points to 3.0480.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 15 to 15 and 6 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for March delivery was down 0.26% or 0.16 to $61.28 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 0.25% or 0.13 to hit $52.23 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.22% or 2.90 to trade at $1289.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.30% to 1.1506, while EUR/GBP rose 0.07% to 0.9030.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.31% at 95.088.
