Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Financials, Technology and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI gained 0.54%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI were Jeronimo Martins SGPS SA (ELI:JMT), which rose 2.21% or 0.39 points to trade at 18.03 at the close. Galp Energia Nom (ELI:GALP) added 1.94% or 0.32 points to end at 16.55 and EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR) was up 1.29% or 0.20 points to 15.68 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:BCP), which lost 1.83% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.41 in late trade. CTT Correios de Portugal SA (ELI:CTT) declined 0.91% or 0.04 points to end at 4.38 and Greenvolt Energias Renovaveis SA (ELI:GVOLT) shed 0.36% or 0.03 points to 8.31.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 20 to 9 and 3 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was up 0.82% or 0.58 to $71.67 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.05% or 0.71 to hit $68.38 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.85% or 22.85 to trade at $2,672.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.18% to 1.12, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.02% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.03% at 100.22.
