Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Telecoms, Utilities and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 added 1.21%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which rose 4.95% or 0.1600 points to trade at 3.3900 at the close. EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR) added 2.77% or 0.2200 points to end at 8.1700 and The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR) was up 2.20% or 0.1200 points to 5.5650 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Sonae (LS:YSO), which lost 1.32% or 0.0140 points to trade at 1.0460 in late trade. CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT) declined 0.42% or 0.0120 points to end at 2.8420 and Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) shed 0.19% or 0.0005 points to 0.2675.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 27 to 7 and 5 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for August delivery was down 1.46% or 1.12 to $75.67 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 1.32% or 0.87 to hit $64.94 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.10% or 1.30 to trade at $1298.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.24% to 1.1688, while EUR/GBP rose 0.50% to 0.8781.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.13% at 94.04.
