Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Telecoms, Consumer Goods and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 gained 1.02% to hit a new 3-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which rose 5.52% or 0.0145 points to trade at 0.2770 at the close. EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR) added 2.37% or 0.1900 points to end at 8.2200 and Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) was up 2.28% or 0.1100 points to 4.9360 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP), which lost 0.12% or 0.0200 points to trade at 16.9300 in late trade. Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) unchanged 0.00% or 0.0000 points to end at 1.0160 and EDP (LS:EDP) gained 0.03% or 0.0010 points to 3.4010.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 28 to 7 and 5 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for July delivery was up 0.76% or 0.60 to $79.88 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 0.14% or 0.10 to hit $71.59 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.05% or 0.70 to trade at $1290.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.01% to 1.1807, while EUR/GBP fell 0.26% to 0.8731.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 93.31.
