Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Telecoms, Industrials and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 rose 0.93%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which rose 5.95% or 0.1080 points to trade at 1.9240 at the close. Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) added 4.41% or 0.2150 points to end at 5.0850 and CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT) was up 3.74% or 0.1160 points to 3.2200 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Sonae SGPS SA (LS:YSO), which lost 3.57% or 0.0300 points to trade at 0.8100 in late trade. Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS) declined 1.35% or 0.120 points to end at 8.800 and Ramada Investimentos e Industria SA (LS:RAMA) shed 1.03% or 0.100 points to 9.600.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 19 to 12 and 7 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was up 0.38% or 0.31 to $81.09 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.01% or 0.01 to hit $71.77 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.11% or 1.30 to trade at $1231.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.04% to 1.1585, while EUR/GBP fell 0.20% to 0.8785.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 94.70.
