Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Telecoms, Financials and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 rose 0.76%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which rose 7.70% or 0.0118 points to trade at 0.1650 at the close. Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) added 4.22% or 0.0720 points to end at 1.7800 and Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS) was up 2.34% or 0.1700 points to 7.4400 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC), which lost 0.27% or 0.0020 points to trade at 0.7480 in late trade. The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR) declined 0.19% or 0.0080 points to end at 4.1420 and EDP (LS:EDP) shed 0.16% or 0.0050 points to 3.1100.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 18 to 11 and 6 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for January delivery was up 0.06% or 0.04 to $72.17 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.53% or 0.33 to hit $61.88 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.50% or 6.10 to trade at $1229.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.32% to 1.1463, while EUR/GBP fell 0.10% to 0.8716.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.38% at 95.75.
