Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Financials, Consumer Goods and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 rose 0.56%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which rose 2.96% or 0.0075 points to trade at 0.2608 at the close. Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) added 2.32% or 0.3900 points to end at 17.1700 and Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) was up 1.93% or 0.0400 points to 2.1150 in late trade.
Biggest losers included The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR), which lost 1.74% or 0.0740 points to trade at 4.1840 in late trade. Sonae SGPS SA (LS:YSO) declined 0.67% or 0.0060 points to end at 0.8900 and Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) shed 0.66% or 0.0012 points to 0.1808.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 15 to 14 and 5 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was up 0.96% or 0.77 to $81.30 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.12% or 0.09 to hit $72.17 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.12% or 1.50 to trade at $1205.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.21% to 1.1774, while EUR/GBP fell 0.15% to 0.8942.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.17% at 93.69.
