Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Telecoms, Consumer Services and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 added 0.55%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which rose 4.26% or 0.0110 points to trade at 0.2690 at the close. Sonae (LS:YSO) added 3.29% or 0.0370 points to end at 1.1630 and J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) was up 1.23% or 0.1950 points to 16.0450 in late trade.
Biggest losers included CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT), which lost 1.50% or 0.0500 points to trade at 3.2800 in late trade. Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) declined 1.02% or 0.1600 points to end at 15.5000 and Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) shed 0.91% or 0.0080 points to 0.8720.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 21 to 14 and 6 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for February delivery was down 0.06% or 0.04 to $63.27 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.47% or 0.27 to hit $57.31 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.02% or 0.20 to trade at $1257.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.03% to 1.1774, while EUR/GBP rose 0.82% to 0.8842.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.22% at 93.85.
