Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Industrials, Financials and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 rose 0.46%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS), which rose 4.36% or 0.3300 points to trade at 7.9000 at the close. F.Rama (LS:RAMA) added 2.59% or 0.250 points to end at 9.900 and Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) was up 1.87% or 0.0046 points to 0.2512 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which lost 1.55% or 0.0040 points to trade at 0.2540 in late trade. EDP (LS:EDP) declined 1.18% or 0.0400 points to end at 3.3500 and Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) shed 0.87% or 0.100 points to 11.340.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 21 to 12 and 4 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for August delivery was up 0.37% or 0.29 to $78.01 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 1.45% or 0.99 to hit $67.22 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.04% or 0.50 to trade at $1302.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.04% to 1.1668, while EUR/GBP rose 0.03% to 0.8783.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 94.07.
