Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Telecoms, Industrials and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 gained 0.38%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Sonae (LS:YSO), which rose 5.52% or 0.0620 points to trade at 1.1860 at the close. Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) added 2.49% or 0.0900 points to end at 3.7000 and Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) was up 1.40% or 0.0130 points to 0.9440 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS), which lost 2.14% or 0.250 points to trade at 11.450 in late trade. The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR) declined 0.26% or 0.0120 points to end at 4.5840 and REN (LS:RENE) shed 0.16% or 0.0040 points to 2.4760.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 18 to 14 and 6 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for May delivery was up 0.55% or 0.36 to $65.25 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 0.61% or 0.37 to hit $61.33 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.51% or 6.80 to trade at $1318.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.35% to 1.2324, while EUR/GBP fell 0.32% to 0.8830.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.27% at 89.99.
