Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Utilities, Consumer Services and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 added 0.36%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which rose 2.85% or 0.1100 points to trade at 3.9700 at the close. EDP (LS:EDP) added 2.68% or 0.0730 points to end at 2.8000 and Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) was up 1.48% or 0.0740 points to 5.0600 in late trade.
Biggest losers included The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR), which lost 2.08% or 0.0940 points to trade at 4.4200 in late trade. Novabase SGPS (LS:NBA) declined 1.98% or 0.060 points to end at 2.970 and Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) shed 1.17% or 0.0034 points to 0.2861.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 19 to 15 and 6 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for April delivery was up 1.13% or 0.75 to $67.14 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 1.29% or 0.81 to hit $63.58 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.11% or 1.40 to trade at $1331.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.21% to 1.2304, while EUR/GBP fell 0.43% to 0.8800.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 89.75.
