Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials, Consumer Services and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 added 0.33%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT), which rose 4.08% or 0.1140 points to trade at 2.9100 at the close. Semapa (LS:SEM) added 1.91% or 0.4500 points to end at 23.9500 and Sonae (LS:YSO) was up 1.54% or 0.0170 points to 1.1200 in late trade.
Biggest losers included EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR), which lost 1.88% or 0.1550 points to trade at 8.0900 in late trade. Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) declined 1.15% or 0.0030 points to end at 0.2570 and Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS) shed 0.91% or 0.100 points to 10.850.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 17 to 14 and 7 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for August delivery was down 0.17% or 0.13 to $76.33 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.48% or 0.32 to hit $66.42 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.18% or 2.40 to trade at $1300.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.02% to 1.1782, while EUR/GBP fell 0.25% to 0.8787.
The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 93.56.
