Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Industrials and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 added 0.32%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS), which rose 1.95% or 0.1700 points to trade at 8.8800 at the close. The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR) added 1.92% or 0.0940 points to end at 4.9980 and Semapa (LS:SEM) was up 1.48% or 0.3000 points to 20.6000 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS), which lost 2.45% or 0.240 points to trade at 9.540 in late trade. Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) declined 0.80% or 0.0021 points to end at 0.2596 and Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) shed 0.52% or 0.0150 points to 2.8450.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 0 to 0 on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for October delivery was up 0.46% or 0.34 to $74.09 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.28% or 0.19 to hit $69.20 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.23% or 2.80 to trade at $1220.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.17% to 1.1574, while EUR/GBP rose 0.03% to 0.8928.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.16% at 95.04.
