Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Telecoms, Consumer Goods and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 added 0.20%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which rose 1.67% or 0.0050 points to trade at 0.3040 at the close. Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) added 1.55% or 0.180 points to end at 11.780 and Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS) was up 1.54% or 0.180 points to 11.880 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP), which lost 1.56% or 0.2450 points to trade at 15.5000 in late trade. Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) declined 1.09% or 0.0620 points to end at 5.6110 and Semapa (LS:SEM) shed 0.38% or 0.0650 points to 17.0000.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 20 to 11 and 7 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for February delivery was up 1.47% or 0.90 to $62.12 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 1.25% or 0.70 to hit $56.66 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.91% or 11.50 to trade at $1254.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.04% to 1.1790, while EUR/GBP fell 0.28% to 0.8782.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 93.63.
