Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Financials, Industrials and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 added 0.20%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS), which rose 1.79% or 0.1100 points to trade at 6.2400 at the close. CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT) added 1.78% or 0.0560 points to end at 3.1980 and Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) was up 1.64% or 0.0048 points to 0.2967 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which lost 3.66% or 0.0105 points to trade at 0.2765 in late trade. Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) declined 1.38% or 0.0500 points to end at 3.5700 and EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR) shed 1.37% or 0.1100 points to 7.9300.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 17 to 14 and 5 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for July delivery was up 3.15% or 2.36 to $77.21 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 3.24% or 2.24 to hit $71.30 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.06% or 0.80 to trade at $1312.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.08% to 1.1855, while EUR/GBP fell 0.21% to 0.8743.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 92.92.
