Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Financials, Telecoms and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 gained 0.16%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS), which rose 1.59% or 0.0800 points to trade at 5.1200 at the close. Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) added 1.25% or 0.1850 points to end at 15.0150 and EDP (LS:EDP) was up 0.52% or 0.0160 points to 3.0960 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which lost 2.92% or 0.0520 points to trade at 1.7280 in late trade. Sonae SGPS SA (LS:YSO) declined 1.97% or 0.0175 points to end at 0.8725 and Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS) shed 1.48% or 0.1100 points to 7.3400.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 17 to 11 and 7 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for January delivery was up 0.49% or 0.36 to $73.19 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.30% or 0.19 to hit $63.33 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.06% or 0.70 to trade at $1231.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.08% to 1.1398, while EUR/GBP fell 0.32% to 0.8752.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 96.21.
