Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Industrials, Consumer Goods and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 gained 0.11%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were EDP (LS:EDP), which rose 2.19% or 0.0680 points to trade at 3.1780 at the close. Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) added 1.43% or 0.140 points to end at 9.910 and Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) was up 1.34% or 0.0100 points to 0.7580 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which lost 1.91% or 0.0340 points to trade at 1.7460 in late trade. Ramada Investimentos e Industria SA (LS:RAMA) declined 1.10% or 0.100 points to end at 8.950 and EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR) shed 0.76% or 0.0600 points to 7.7950.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 19 to 13 and 3 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for January delivery was down 1.61% or 1.16 to $70.91 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.41% or 0.87 to hit $60.80 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.15% or 1.80 to trade at $1224.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.22% to 1.1402, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.00% to 0.8704.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.41% at 96.20.
