Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials, Consumer Goods and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 rose 0.03%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS), which rose 2.76% or 0.1440 points to trade at 5.3650 at the close. CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT) added 1.71% or 0.0590 points to end at 3.5060 and Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) was up 1.33% or 0.2150 points to 16.3750 in late trade.
Biggest losers included REN (LS:RENE), which lost 1.71% or 0.0460 points to trade at 2.6510 in late trade. Novabase SGPS (LS:NBA) declined 1.46% or 0.053 points to end at 3.582 and Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) shed 0.98% or 0.0025 points to 0.2527.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 19 to 16 and 5 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for January delivery was down 0.79% or 0.51 to $63.76 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.28% or 0.16 to hit $57.19 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.44% or 5.64 to trade at $1275.96 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.23% to 1.1583, while EUR/GBP fell 0.10% to 0.8806.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.23% at 94.84.
