Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Telecoms, Technology and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 gained 0.01%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Sonae (LS:YSO), which rose 1.45% or 0.0140 points to trade at 0.9770 at the close. Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) added 1.02% or 0.0560 points to end at 5.5240 and Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) was up 0.64% or 0.0015 points to 0.2355 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which lost 2.11% or 0.0070 points to trade at 0.3250 in late trade. Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) declined 1.33% or 0.0330 points to end at 2.4390 and Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) shed 1.20% or 0.135 points to 11.130.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 24 to 8 and 9 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for October delivery was down 0.91% or 0.48 to $52.22 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 1.35% or 0.67 to hit $48.89 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.82% or 10.47 to trade at $1289.77 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.03% to 1.1754, while EUR/GBP rose 0.19% to 0.9059.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 93.39.
