Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Telecoms, Consumer Goods and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 gained 0.01%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Sonae (LS:YSO), which rose 1.72% or 0.0180 points to trade at 1.0640 at the close. Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) added 1.61% or 0.0150 points to end at 0.9480 and Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) was up 1.58% or 0.180 points to 11.580 in late trade.
Biggest losers included F.Rama (LS:RAMA), which lost 2.97% or 0.300 points to trade at 9.800 in late trade. Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) declined 1.62% or 0.0550 points to end at 3.3350 and J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) shed 1.28% or 0.1750 points to 13.5200.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 20 to 12 and 6 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for August delivery was down 0.48% or 0.36 to $74.93 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.51% or 0.33 to hit $65.08 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.39% or 5.00 to trade at $1302.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.14% to 1.1714, while EUR/GBP fell 0.31% to 0.8758.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 93.89.
