Investing.com – Philippines equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Services, Industrials and Property sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite lost 0.07%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSEi Composite were GT Capital Holdings Inc (PS:GTCAP), which rose 2.21% or 26.00 points to trade at 1201.00 at the close. Globe Telecom Inc (PS:GLO) added 1.47% or 30.00 points to end at 2074.00 and Ayala Corp (PS:AC) was up 1.37% or 13.00 points to 963.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Petron Corp (PS:PCOR), which lost 2.46% or 0.260 points to trade at 10.300 in late trade. Energy Development Corp (PS:EDC) declined 2.35% or 0.170 points to end at 7.070 and JG Summit Holdings Inc (PS:JGS) shed 1.41% or 1.100 points to 77.000.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 109 to 93 and 47 ended unchanged on the Philippines Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.43% or 5.55 to $1300.35 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.06% or 0.03 to hit $50.52 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.16% or 0.09 to trade at $56.34 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was down 0.78% to 7.6888, while USD/PHP fell 0.74% to 50.680.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.37% at 91.63.
