Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the S&P Lima Juniors, Non-Metal Minerals and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General lost 0.38%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Alicorp (LM:ALI), which rose 0.91% or 0.100 points to trade at 11.100 at the close. Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) added 0.81% or 0.010 points to end at 1.240 and Inretail Peru (LM:INR) was up 0.70% or 0.150 points to 21.500 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Trevali Mining (LM:TV), which lost 3.36% or 0.040 points to trade at 1.150 in late trade. Panoro (LM:PML) declined 3.19% or 0.009 points to end at 0.273 and Sider (LM:SID) shed 2.83% or 0.013 points to 0.446.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 19 to 5 and 14 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was down 0.49% or 0.30 to $61.34 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 0.79% or 0.51 to hit $64.22 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.03% or 0.40 to trade at $1317.50 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.20% to 3.2633, while EUR/PEN rose 0.08% to 3.9859.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.43% at 90.22.
