Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the S&P Lima Juniors, Industrials and Mining sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General lost 0.06% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi), which rose 1.43% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.710 at the close. Southern Copper Corp (LM:SPC) added 0.73% or 0.40 points to end at 55.05 and Intergroup (LM:IFS) was up 0.45% or 0.190 points to 42.050 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Minsur (LM:MINi), which lost 5.08% or 0.090 points to trade at 1.680 in late trade. Atacocha (LM:ATB) declined 3.39% or 0.020 points to end at 0.570 and Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) shed 2.56% or 0.030 points to 1.140.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 15 to 10 and 12 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was up 1.72% or 1.05 to $62.24 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 1.55% or 1.01 to hit $66.13 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.27% or 3.60 to trade at $1314.20 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.32% to 3.2720, while EUR/PEN fell 0.06% to 4.0163.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 90.17.
