Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the S&P Lima Juniors, Banking & Financials and Mining sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General rose 0.52%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Panoro (LM:PML), which rose 6.38% or 0.015 points to trade at 0.250 at the close. Sociedad Minera el Brocal SAA (LM:BRO) added 5.56% or 0.500 points to end at 9.500 and Bco Continenta (LM:CON) was up 1.98% or 0.090 points to 4.640 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Candente Copper (LM:DNT), which lost 11.67% or 0.0070 points to trade at 0.0530 in late trade. Austral Group SAA (LM:AUG) declined 7.69% or 0.100 points to end at 1.200 and Casa Grande (LM:CSG) shed 3.10% or 0.160 points to 5.010.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 15 to 10 and 17 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 1.41% or 0.93 to $64.88 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.11% or 0.08 to hit $75.44 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.26% or 3.40 to trade at $1295.90 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.11% to 3.2685, while EUR/PEN rose 0.45% to 3.8352.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.15% at 94.02.
